GIN Interoperation Scenarios DemonstrationsLocation & DatesSupercomputing 2009 November 14-20, 2009 Planned DemonstrationsGINSC2009-001: Unified Access to Grid and HPC resources - Kepler framework for DCIThis demonstration shows the technical feasibility of handling jobs from the Kepler workflow tool to the HPC-driven DEISA (via UNICORE) Grid and the HTC-driven EGEE (via gLite) Grid as part of the EUFORIA environment. This is the outcome of the the EUFORIA project that enables the European fusion modelling community to exploit Grid and HPC. EUFORIA supports fusion modellers in this simulation work by providing the tools required to orchestrate the range of simulation codes necessary to simulate the full fusion reactor.Contact: Marcin Plociennik, Michal Owsiak, Morris Riedel, Shahbaz Memon, Michael Rambadt GINSC2009-002: Grid Interoperation Now with Standards: Using the High Performance Computing Basic Profile (HPC-BP) for e-scienceThis demonstration uses different adoptions of the emerging open standard High Performance Computing - Basic Profile (HPC-BP) with a real scientifc application. The technologies used are UNICORE, ARC, GENESIS, GridSAM, and BES++ and the demo will be the same as shown at the Open Grid Forum 27 in Banff, Canada.Contact: Peter Stefan, Steve Crouch, David Wallom, Morris Riedel, Shahbaz Memon, Michael Rambadt |
