Date and location

• Apr. 14 (Mon) to 15 (Tues), 2008 in Charlottesville, VA.
• Wilsdorf Hall at the University of Virginia
  • Address: Very near to 151 Engineer's Way, P.O. Box 400740, Charlottesville, Virginia 22904-4740
  • Directions: Once on campus, find the coffee shop inside of Wilsdorf Hall. The conference room is above that coffee shop and slightly down a hall. Maps and better directions forthcoming.

Accommodation

There are two University recommended Hotels. It's important to remember that there is basically no parking at UVa without a permit. There is one garage off of Emmet Street next to Newcomb Hall which is an hourly garage so it would probably work but be very expensive, and there is a daily garage next to UHall, but that is the same distance from Wilsdorf as the Cavalier Inn hotel is. There are also metered spots behind Computer Science (next to Scott Stadium), but those have a two hour time limit and are not guaranteed to be free. All in all, we recommend that you use public transportation if at all possible.

• The Cavalier Inn
  • This is basically a Best Western, and not a prticularly good one, but it is within walking distance of Wilsdorf Hall (about 5 minutes).

• The Omni
  • This is a really nice hotel on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall (a big pedestrian mall with lots of interesting restaurants and shops). Unfortunately, it isn't walking distance, but there is a free shuttle that goes between it and the University.
