OGSA registered trademark usage guide
Agreed at Oct. 1st, 2007 telecon.
- The first use of OGSA mentioned in communications must be identified in a footnote or attribution. The attribution should be located either on the page/screen where the OGSA is first used, or in the legal section of the document or web site in which it is referenced.
- If necessary, GFD should have "Trademarks" section which states "OGSA is a registered trademark and service mark of the Open Grid Forum" in its title page.
- The first reference in text to OGSA should be followed by the proper trademark symbol. The proper symbol for registered trademark is ®.
- On and after second use of OGSA must not have the trademark symbol.
- Document title is an exception. If necessary, document title may have the trademark symbol.
- OGSA should be used as an adjective qualifying a noun that is a generic description of architecture or specifications. OGSA should only be used in a singular form.
- Examples: The OGSA Architecture defines interoperable web services that support operation and management of grid computing resources ...
- Do not change the form or representation of OGSA, including capitalization or punctuation.
